Our Vidal del Saz wines continue to obtain recognition. On this occasion, it was Vidal del Saz Selección Rosé, which received the Golden Don Quixote as the best Rosé in the VI Regional Wine Contest “Tierra del Quijote” organized by the Alcázar de San Juan City Council.
The 1,000 professional and amateur tasters that made up the jury of the largest tasting in Spain were in charge of this decision.
After two hours of tastings and the subsequent counting of the 10,000 score cards, the jury’s decision for this original contest was announced, the main objective of which is to promote the culture of wine, from the popular recognition of the good product.
A total of 250 wines from 83 wineries of the Almansa, La Mancha, Manchuela, Mondéjar, Ribera del Júcar, Uclés and Valdepeñas Denominations of Origin, as well as the Tierra de Castilla Wines, obtained this important recognition that combines the criteria of the experts with the tastes of the final consumers.
